I got Carried Away... by a Balloon

Brrr! It's freezing here in Co. Springs. On the radio this morning they said it was like 48 degrees. Which means it's officially the start of sweater weather, woohoo!

Anyway, I wanted to share some pictures from last week's annual Hot Air Balloon Festival. It was amazing to see all those giant balloons suddenly appearing in a big grassy field and then ascending into the sky. Most of them chose to fly over the lake, showing off their flying skills by skimming it. All in all, there were about 50 balloons total and it was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen.

I love the dragon one. I'll have to show that to Liam. His love of dinosaurs has generously included dragons.

I've always wanted to go on a hot-air balloon ride! I'm trying to look into it for a little "30 things to do b/4 turning 30" project I'm working on! :) Great pictures!

The balloons on water are particularly nice.
