I have officially signed up to take the GRE and given those test giving people a lot of money to administer pain. And as I study, I wonder, whatever happened to my vocabulary? I read. I read copious amounts of books. And not just effortless books either. I do, of course, love a good children's book, but I usually counter it with more laborious ones. Like Crime and Punishment....
This means that I have a little over a month to add sundry words to my vocabulary. I look forward to this challenge with alacrity. The gauntlet has been thrown...

the other day I just blurted out fortuitous which I've never said in my life, but I've probably read it before. I'd try to think of new words but I'm sure you have me beat in the vocabulary department since every other word I say is either "crap" or "boys are dumb"

I have the terrible habit of using words that I've only ever seen written, with the predictable result that I mispronounce most of them. Ha ha on me for being a show off.

The GRE is the standardized test you need to take to get into most graduate level programs. It consists of a math/data, verbal, and writing section. Good times!
Good luck! I've wanted to take it for a while now just to see how I'd do. My boyfriend took it not that long ago "just because" and got a perfect writing score. The nerd. :)
