Things That Happened on American idol:

1) Kara wore some metallic monstrosity of a dress. I really don't understand how her and Paula can critique those girls on their fashion tastes. Seriously? Look in the mirrors ladies. Actually, that goes for Simon and Randy too.

2) I still think that Michael Sarver has to be one of the nicest guys ever. Still, his performance was not great; I think he might be the one to bite the dust this week. Simon said: "On a scale of 1-10 you were a 1.2" and Michael countered with: "At least it wasn't a zero." I don't think he understood the scale.

3) Allison rocked out like she's been doing every week even though the band's arrangement was terrible. Man I love that girl.

4) Danny Gokey wore a lab coat with safety goggles during his performance. It was a good thing too because it was messy up there.

5) Kris, the one who's been casted as the heartthrob, has been steadily improving each week. Along with being adorable he sang really well. And Randy called him a "tender dawg." What the hell is a tender dawg?? Can we vote Randy off? Please? Please? And he can take Kara with him?

6) I wanted to make out with Simon when he called Adam's sickening performance of Ring of Fire "indulgent rubbish."

7) By the end of the season, Alexis will probably have a good case for a sexual harassment suit against Kara. Dear Kara: you are seriously creepy with all of your overtly sexualized comments toward that girl.

8) Two too many people covered Martina McBride.

9) Backstage, Randy calls Simon the lil' judge.

10) Anoop came back from last week's giant misstep to have the best performance of the night.

The Name Game

I've been tagged by Ellesappelle, so here we go...

1) REAL NAME: JenKneeBee

2) GANGSTA NAME (First 3 letters of name, plus izzle): Technically it's Jenizzle, but I much prefer JB Playa Flava

3) "FLY GIRL" NAME (First initial of first name, first 3 of last): J-Ber

4) DETECTIVE NAME (fav color and fav animal): Scarlet Tuna

5) STAR WARS NAME (first 3 letters of last name, first 2 of first name, first 3 letters of mom's name): Berjaasa

6) SUPERHERO NAME (fav color, fav drink): Scarlet Cranberry Juice. Soooo lame. Fuchsia Mint Tea? Also very, very lame. There's no hope on this one. Apparently I'm not meant to be a superhero :(

7) STRIPPER NAME (name of fav perfume): Very Sexy. Fitting for a perfume made by Victoria's Secret.

Fantastically Sad Songs

I'm in love with sad, beautiful songs. Ones that make you feel like your heart's been ripped out, but it's still such a beautiful song that you listen to it again. Anyway, I've decided to post my top 10 sad songs instead of my New Year's Resolutions. In protestation of what I consider the lamest holiday ever.

These are just my favorite ones, some people are bound to disagree (feel free to comment and share your favorites, I love finding new songs!), and I will say that although a few of these artists could definately have at least a couple of songs in the top 10, I decided to limit them to one song each.

10) Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton

Kill me now lyrics: I must be strong and carry on / Cause I know I don't belong / Here in heaven

9) Empty by Ray LaMontagne

8) Everybody Hurts by R.E.M.

7) Whiskey Lullaby by Brad Paisley & Alison Krauss

6) You Don't Know Me by Elvis Presley

5) Nothing Compares to U by Sinead O'Connor

4) Goodbye my Lover by James Blunt

Kill me now lyrics: And I still hold your hand in mine / In mine when I'm asleep / And I will bear my soul in time / When I'm kneeling at your feet

3) Fields of Gold by Eva Cassidy

WAY better than Sting's version!!!

2) The Drugs Don't Work by The Verve

Kill me now lyrics: If heaven calls / I'm coming too / Just like you said / You leave my life / I'm better off dead

1) Mad World by Gary Jules

Kill me now lyrics: And I find it kind of funny / I find it kind of sad / The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had
